What to wear
We do believe in having an outfit that kids can wear especially for dance classes as it mentally prepares them.
Saturday Classes
Shirt
Pink Or blue child size Dance T-shirt. ordered through the studio
Black Dance shorts
Generally available at Kmart / Best and Less .
Tights
Tan tights or Pink ballet tights especially during winter.
Optional
Black or Pink Leotard to wear underneath t shirt (Required for the grade 2/3 Ballet Class

Tap Classes
Black Tap shoes
Kindy and Pre Primary
Can go barefoot during classes, but must have Ballet shoes for the end of year concert.
Hair
Always tied up neat off the face. Please no fancy hair accessories . Tiaras – Please leave at home if possible, kids fiddle with them the whole time.
Jewellery in class
No Bangles , beaded necklaces or watches , small neat earrings are ok . Please do not bring or wear precious items
Weekday Classes
Students are to wear leotards to all classes
Inters and above must always wear tights and leotards. When it is cold, warm clothing can be worn during warm-ups.
Undergarments must be appropriate for exercise and be of a tan colour or black.
Hair must be tied up
Bun for Ballet and Pony tail, braid etc for other styles , extra long fringes must be worn pinned back or with a hair band so that hair is off the face.
Albany Academy of Dance shirts are available through the studio.
Senior Classes
Students not dressed and groomed appropriately will be asked to rectify the matter before they can join the class.
Girls
All Classes - Black or coloured leotard
Ballet
Leotard, pink ballet tights, pink split sole ballet shoes, long sleeve wrap and ballet skirt optional but not necessary.
Jazz/Tap/Broadway
Leotard - Dance T Shirt - Black shorts with tan tights - tan split sole jazz shoes, Black tap shoes.
Contemporary
Leotard, dance t-shirt, black footless tights / leggings. Bare feet.Always have tracksuit pants, t shirt and socks in dance bag ready for floor work.
Boys Uniform
Black pants/shorts, black t-shirt or dance shirt. All dance shoes should be black.

Dance shoes and dancewear are available through the studio by order only, please speak to your instructor.

Dance shoes and Dancewear are available from all dance stores in Perth or Online from Capezio , Bloch , Energetiks or Studio 7.
